There are places where time seems to pass a little slower – in the best possible sense. For over a century, and now in its fifth generation, the Gasthof zur Wachau in Mitterarnsdorf has been firmly in the hands of our family.
What once began as a simple inn for travelers along the Danube, we have transformed with great attention to detail into a retreat for food lovers, cyclists, and those seeking relaxation.
Genuine hospitality is our heritage For us, hosting is not just a profession, but a calling. We, the Zeller family, are deeply rooted in this house and the unparalleled landscape of the Wachau. We know the best vineyards, the most beautiful hiking trails, and we know exactly what you need after a long day on the Danube Cycle Path: a warm smile, a chilled glass of Wachau apricot juice or a fine glass of wine, and honest, regional cuisine.
